Hypertension

Overview

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is common, and asymptomatic but can be serious if not treated. At Srinivasa Hospital, treatment involves continuous monitoring of blood pressure and administering antihypertensive medications such as ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers, or diuretics. Patients are advised a healthy diet with less salt, physical activity and stress management. Blood tests and imaging may be conducted to assess for organ damage or underlying causes. Treatment aims to quickly stabilise blood pressure and prevent complications like stroke or heart attack.
